Republic Bank came to Mabus Agency with an established brand and a strong desire to increase its presence in Chicagoland’s digital marketplace. To achieve its goal, Mabus Agency recommended expanding the Republic Bank brand toolkit to make it flexible while maintaining its boldness.
Republic Bank had a strong brand color in its dark red, but it needed a broader color palette that would complement the red while also taking it to the next level. It also needed more color options for application in the many digital ads Republic Bank was preparing to run. A combination of deep blue and light blue brought depth and contrast to the palette.
Developing a set of simple brand patterns gives the Republic Bank toolkit one more asset to bring each ad’s copy and imagery to life as it’s applied across various digital media platforms.
Mabus Agency’s designers needed an element that would help lead viewers’ eyes to the right information in each ad. Since Republic Bank’s staff prides itself on providing a real personalized touch to each client, we chose to use a hand-drawn element that will help direct viewers through each ad.
Since Republic Bank’s brand has multiple audiences, Mabus Agency’s designers prepared two brand photography styles. Ads directed at younger audiences will be full of color while ads directed to the rest of its demographic will use two-toned images featuring the expanded color palette. These styles help Republic Bank turn almost any image into an on-brand image.
Republic Bank’s brand was already strong, but as the bank expands its marketing efforts into the digital marketplace it now has the tools to easily create fresh, new on-brand ads.
